Load, volume, and peaking decisions for a national record holder

Biomechanical analysis of a varsity athlete's Olympic clean and written thought process as well as fixes.
Write up on my experience working with an Athlete who held the all time Canadian total and squat records.
Physiological considerations of musculoskeletal rehab in acute, sub-acute and remodelling stages of a Tibialis Anterior Grade 2 strain

Undergrad kinesiology paper: a take-home guide that explains tissue-healing stages and why timelines matter.
Video based, bar-path tracing and phase timing identified early arm flexion and premature hip extension. We applied first-pull velocity constraints and turnover-timing drills (blocks, tall cleans) to reduce horizontal displacement and standardize catch position across heavy singles.

Coaching Philosophy
Coaching should be built on more than just being strong. My foundation is resistance training, sport science, biomechanics, and rehabilitation, supported by formal education, data tracking, and years of experience under the bar.
Core Tenets

Evidence based progression
total volume, intensity at certain volumes, the amount of times an athlete unracks the barbell, the amount of reps they take when they unrack, their daily recovery. It is all tracked to ensure progress, nothing you fill in program is useless.

precision and grit
controlled intensity, structured recovery and deliberate intent-training when required, we build momentum with comfortable load and precision then quickly progress to stuff that needs grit.

No cookie Cutter Programs
Programming is written for your context, not pulled from a workshop slide or a generic template. This is also why I am selective with the size of my roster to guarantee I can provide the quality my athletes deserve.

long-term health
My Kinesiology and Physiotherapy studies allow me to spot troublesome issues before they grow into progress altering injuries. I provide the guidance and scientific rehab protocol to your program before it is needed.

Programming decisions are backed by case studies, video review, and experience on both sides of the bar. If a block wouldn't be good enough for my own lifting...
it's not good enough for yours.
Coaching Services
My Process...
One service. Complete coaching. You are not buying a template. You are hiring your number one.
Weekly programming
Individualized blocks updated weekly based on your performance, schedule, and recovery.
Biomechanical review
Regular technique breakdown from a coach who lives under the bar and studies movement for a living.
Responsive communication
I strive to maintain communication and reply as soon as possible, around training sessions. Taking no longer than 24 hours unless we discuss prior.
Optional weekly call
Structured check-ins for lifters who want deeper discussion and strategy.
Qualifications and Education
I’ve always been an athlete. Competing and winning have been constants in my life, and when I found powerlifting, I brought that same standard with me. What I learned in my kinesiology classes didn’t just help me perform better, it gave me the framework to elevate others.
I started by programming for friends, refining my approach through trial, data, and free work until I could stand behind what I coached. Those early experiments shaped the system I use now: practical, measurable, and proven under the bar.

Education
2021-2025
Bachelor of Kinesiology in Sport performance
University of Alberta
2025-2028
Master's of Science in Physical Therapy
University of Alberta
Commitment and Value
I’m not satisfied unless my lifters do well. Their progress is my metric. After my own knee surgery, I learned firsthand how it feels to move slower than you want and to rebuild from frustration. That experience sharpened my coaching, because I now understand progress from both ends, the highs of competition and the grind of recovery.

Empathy and Expectation
I take my athletes’ failures and wins personally. When you work with me, you get all the knowledge and attention I have. That’s why I work closely with a limited number of lifters at once, each one receives a level of focus that most coaches reserve for themselves.
